Our Staff
Dr. Cory Hawkins is from northern California and spent his initial career as a professional dancer in theatre, television, movies, and music videos. He then became a licensed massage therapist, working in both a health club and chiropractor’s office. He went on to complete his pre-med program at Santa Monica College, then graduated from Western States University in Portland, Oregon, with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Hawkins has been in practice in Boise since 1993 and is excited to be working with Dr. Jake Erickson in their new venture, Upright Chiropractic PLLC. He and his wife of 37 years, Sharon, enjoy bicycling, boating, traveling and creative endeavors. They are proud parents of three grown sons.

We are saddened to report the untimely passing of our Friend and Colleague Dr. Jake Erickson. Please keep his family in your prayers.
Dr. Jake Erickson grew up in the great state of South Dakota. He attended South Dakota State University as well as the University of Sioux Falls, studying exercise science. He then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, earning a Bachelor’s in Human Biology as well as a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
Dr. Erickson moved to Boise in 2009 and has owned and worked in various chiropractic clinics throughout the valley. In 2018 he partnered with Dr. Cory Hawkins to open Upright Chiropractic PLLC. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Orquidea, mountain biking, traveling, and hanging out with their dog, Frankie.
Lisa Mitchell, Office Manager
Lisa Mitchell joined Upright Chiropractic in November of 2018. She has worked with Dr. Hawkins and Dr. Erickson before and the three of them make a good team! Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree many years ago in teaching but chose to teach her own kids at home for the last 14 years. She has worked in several different industries and prides herself on exceptional customer service. She has been married for 22 years and has four children (she currently homeschools three of them.) Lisa volunteers for the AWANA kids program at her church, loves all things 80’s, and drinks coffee as much as she can 🙂
